Innovative Research in Immunology

We are a translational immunology and infection biology research lab focused on understanding how the human immune system shapes disease across infection, critical illness, and immune-mediated disorders. Our work bridges basic immunology and clinical medicine to generate insights with direct relevance to patient care.

A central pillar of our research is the identification of host immune archetypes in sepsis and severe infection, enabling the development of precision, host-directed therapies. In parallel, we investigate how ageing and immune dysregulation influence susceptibility to infection, immune recovery, and long-term outcomes.

Join us in our mission to transform basic discovery science into meaningful clinical impact. Our research leverages systems immunology approaches, integrating high-dimensional molecular, cellular, and clinical data to understand immune function as a dynamic and interconnected system.

Together, through collaborative and data-driven science, we aim to redefine how immune complexity is understood and harnessed to improve patient care across the lifespan.

Host Immune Archetypes and Precision Therapeutics

Our research labs specialize in translational immunology and infection biology, focusing on the intersection of basic science and clinical application. We aim to identify host immune archetypes of sepsis, guiding precision therapeutics for critical illness. Additionally, we investigate how ageing processes impact immune function, striving to enhance our understanding and treatment of these complex interactions.
